Cutting Loss Down to Size: Grief Busters

Grief Busters

I can’t pretend to know what makes you laugh or smile or just feel better; you’ll have to figure that out for yourselves. The point is, build a “secret cache” of pleasant things that you can turn to.  Write them down in a notebook, on the refrigerator, on your hand. They can include images, quotes, websites, books, movies, podcasts, TV specials, recipes, memories, activities that transport you for the moment. Only you can create this list. So get going! Here are some of mine. No hating. It is what it is.

Okay. I admit it. I'm an ethnic stereotype; I'm very food-motivated.  But I don't care who you are-pizza puts a smile on everybody's face. I've eaten deep dish, thin crust, bruschetta, calzone. I've enjoyed pizza in Chicago, pizza in New York, pizza in Rome, and pizza in Naples.  This is probably the best pizza I've ever had (apologies to my Dad and my Nonna.) Pizza is a stress-buster!
